Project H.O.P.E. (Humanitarian Outreach Program Experience)

Come join us in our 2025 Missions trip to Puerto Rico. We will be traveling and ministering throughout the entire island. This 7 day intensive Missions project will be a boots on the ground spiritual campaign to some of the most needed places affected and afflicted by some of the notorious natural disasters to the island.

Apostles Anna & Jose A. Velez Jr

Our founders have been married for over 33 years. They are parents of 3 awesome adult children (Eddie, Fallon & Adam). Grandparents of 8 beautiful grandchildren (Micaela, Michael, Abigail, Luke, Natalia, Roman, Russell and expecting). In-laws of lovely daughters in laws and son in law (Charity, Christina and Miguel) Family has been the glue to have kept the Joy and unity in all we do. This love and unity have been extended for decades to their beloved spiritual sons and daughters as well.

Apostle Anna was formally administrative assistant in a prominent law office in the Bronx which was very instrumental in helping many get into public offices in NYC. Many that entered public service as Borough Presidents, Congress, State Assembly, Mayors, etc. came through her office.

Apostle Jose has been self-employed since the age of 18. He has run many successful business projects in real estate, finance, sales and investing. Growing up he paid close attention to his entrepreneur father and learned many lessons on running different types of businesses. As a result, has been able to work in full time ministry for over 4 decades without drawing a salary. He has self-funded the Victory Renewal Center Retreat House in the Poconos Mountains and the International True Discipleship Network Church.

During his upbringing in the dangerous times of "Fort Apache" the Bronx, he got caught up in the violence of the inner city. Confronting many life and death moments, got shot up with 7 bullet wounds all over his body. Knowing that what awaited him was death, or imprisonment, God called him to a life changing retreat in the Island of Puerto Rico over 4 decades ago.

Today both Apostle Anna & Jose started their ministry helping many gang members by taking them away on a weekend retreat to help them turn their lives around. (Testimony below) Their evangelistic efforts led to thousands of transformed lives, through weekend retreats, street evangelism, mission trips, soup kitchens and pantries, prison & hospital visits, home services, etc. The growth of the evangelistic efforts led to opening a Church in New York City. They opened a beautiful retreat house in the Poconos Mountains to bring inner city families to a weekend of transformation.

During the 21st Century worldwide pandemic they founded the virtual international Church of True Discipleship Network (TDN). They have a worldwide audience continuing to share a message of Jesus Christ leading to Salvation, Transformation, & Love worldwide. TDN & partners do strategic community outreaches to help meet the needs of many. Feeding daily thousands of children, providing educational support programming, feeding the hungry and homeless, providing farm to table food programs, toy drives, coat distributions, missions projects, marriage enrichment, and so much more

They have appeared on many television programs, radio programs, magazine, newspaper articles. Sought out national speakers, and Biblical Counselors.

Missionary Hedy Bethany Figueroa

I was saved baptized with Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues at RW Schambach apostolic Tent Revival in East Harlem in my teens. In 1997 the LORD led me to Times Square Church, I still remember the prophetic word from beloved Pastor David Wilkerson, that day, when I first came through those doors and answered the altar call. “You’ll be a missionary here in NYC & around the world.” It’s been an extraordinary, beautiful journey serving Jesus Christ in ministries as volunteer and then as a leader like: Raven Truck homeless ministry, Music Ministry, Administration and interviewing candidates for domestic and foreign missions and ministries. I was also sales manager of music table, which was a joy as I greeted visitors nationally and internationally. As a leader in missions department, I was trained by best which allowed me to serve and raise up other leaders in ministry. As part of missions training, I was sent to Colombia University & Kings College to further intensive studies on missionary training. I traveled to so many countries around the world in missions crusades and other mission trips both domestic and foreign, which were life changing experiences to me. The LORD last year had me teach woman’s classes on book of Ruth.

In my personal career my experience is in strong leadership management skills and my gifting is in building high performance teams.

It’s been 12 years being part of Victory Renewal Center’s Women’s Retreat and for some years now as a leader. It’s a great honor to serve the LORD with Apostle Jose Velez and Apostle Anna as head of Missions Ministry at True Discipleship Network.
